Fair prices on 16 national lanes for three common vehicles, computed from the open formula. Accepted bids will be blended in as volumes grow, and the index will be published monthly under CC BY 4.0.
The fair price is what it costs to run the truck on that route plus a fair margin, adjusted by lane demand. Every input is shown in the planner and can be edited there.
Fair price = (Fuel + Tolls + Driver + Wear + Capital + Empty return) × (1 + margin) × Lane demand GST is shown separately: 5% under reverse charge by default.
Route options are chosen on a corridor network of about 90 cities and 140 highway links. Road distances and the line on the map come from OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM public service) through those cities; if it is unavailable, distances fall back to straight-line distance times 1.15–1.45 by road type. Truck speeds average 55, 45 and 25 km/h on expressways, highways and hill roads. Tolls are charged on 100%, 85% and 35% of those km at the vehicle's axle-class rate. Toll plaza markers sit every 60 tolled km and are indicative. Traffic hotspots are modelled from city size and arrival hour, not live data.
Neemrana to Bengaluru by 32 ft MXL is about 2,180 km. Before margin the model's cost comes to about ₹1.02 lakh; FR8 posts ₹1,01,000 for the lane (FR8). One lane is not a calibration. Accepted bids on this platform will be used to tune the lane demand index.
